Welcome to the Faculty of Social Sciences website. Thank you very much for choosing to visit us and to offer us the opportunity to electronically communicate with you. The Faculty is one of the largest Faculties in Makerere University with a history, structurally dating back to 1963 as an autonomous academic unit. However, of course the social sciences have been taught at Makerere University since the 1940s with very strong old traditions in sociology, anthropology and Political Science. Social Work, Social Administration, Economic and Public administration followed suit, and in the early 1990 the inter-disciplinary social science of women and gender studies was added to the fold. "The 60th Graduation Ceremony". It is very important to note that unlike the previous graduation ceremonies, this one has been such a unique one for students managed to come out with their transcripts. As seen in some of the pictures more	Library resources are also available. The faculty has enough facilities for research in the library for both teaching staff and the students. more	ICT resources are also available to facilitate the entire students body plus the academic staff. There about three labs well furnished to suit all ICT needs for all.more
